KYC and User Registration Overview

User registration, often referred to as Know Your Customer (KYC), is not required to use Bitcoin ATMs in Canada, however it is encouraged.

In order to complete registration you will need the following: 

• A cell phone with text messaging
• Either a Canadian Passport or a driver's license issued by a Canadian province or territory
• A digital photo of yourself, the camera on your phone or webcam on your computer will work well for this.
