When you purchase cryptocurrency, such as Bitcoin, from a Localcoin ATM the cryptocurrency is instantly sent on the blockchain to the wallet address you scan at the time of the purchase. Once the transaction is completed you can verify that the funds have been received by matching the cryptocurrency amount on your receipt to the amount posted on the blockchain for your wallet address that you scanned at the machine.
If you are unfamiliar with what a blockchain is please view our FAQ article on blockchains here: What is a Blockchain?
You can get your receipt in the following ways:
- Check your recent text messages for a receipt sent after the transaction was made
- Visit our website to obtain a copy here - https://localcoinatm.com/verify/

To verify that your transaction has gone through successfully you can click on the wallet address/coin.cz link provided at the bottom of the receipt and then copy the cryptocurrency amount (in this case it is 0.00023006 BTC).
Once you are on coin.cz you can click ‘control/command-f’ on your keyboard or locate “find on page” on your mobile device to paste the cryptocurrency amount, this will search the amount on the webpage you are on and it will highlight the exact amount, confirming that this transaction is in the wallet scanned.
This is a screenshot showing an example of what you may see, this screenshot confirms that the funds are currently in the wallet scanned (bc1qeusarqfl2aggrv0wd58z0xakgf8p9246f209ev). These funds are now in your control and can be held in the wallet, sent to another wallet, or sent to an exchange or cryptocurrency service.
Please note, in some cases transactions can be ‘batched’ together if they were completed minutes apart from each other. If this is the case you can add the cryptocurrency amounts on your receipts together and search this value on the blockchain to locate the transaction.
It is always recommended to ONLY send to your own personal cryptocurrency wallet that you control. If you have sent to someone else, and you can confirm that the funds are on the blockchain, and the person you sent to is saying they did not receive it, you are likely the victim of a scam and the person you are sending to is fraudulent.
If you believe you may be the victim of a scam please review our fraud information page:
